One of our most popular lakeside cabins!
Eagles Nest is one of our most popular cabins known for its privacy. In 1960, friends of Maynard and Millie Black purchased the lot Eagles Nest is on. The Baron Family built Eagles Nest as a replica of Norway Pines, a cabin they had stayed in and loved at the resort. They enjoyed the cabin for 20 years but time came to sell it. In 1980 Craig decide to buy back the lot and the cabin making Eagles Nest the 11th cabin at Black's Cliff. The unbuilt lot between Eagles Nest and the resort has remained unbuilt giving Eagles Nest privacy from the resort but it's still close enough to use all the amenities of the resort.
Today Eagles Nest has not changed much from when it was originally built as a log cabin. It is a seasonal cabin open mid May to mid October. The 2 bedrooms both have a queen. In the living room 2 twin beds built into the wall are a favorite of many kids to sleep on. Although the cabin does not have a screened in porch, it has french windows everywhere you look. When the windows are opened the cabin itself has a open airy porch feel about it. New floors, carpet and a remodeled bathroom and kitchen, flat screen TV, and DVD player have added to the cabin but not taken away from the charm of this unique cabin.
As with all our cabins the kitchen area is fully equipped with microwave, coffee maker, stove, refrigerator and all the pots and pans you will need. An original pine dining room table from the Barons days makes a great place to enjoy meals. The living room, dinning room kitchen areas are all open concept and make it a great space to enjoy time with family and friends.
Eagles Nest is our only cabin with a private dock all to itself. This has made it very popular with guests who want to get away from it all. Dog owners have also found this to be a plus, giving them a place their dog can swim all day and be off leash as long as they stay in the cabin and dock area of Eagles's Nest.
Outside Eagles Nest has a large fire pit area with a cedar swing, adirondack chairs, a weber grill and a picnic table.
